Do we really love Jesus?
Do we know God or do we simply know about Him? Once we begin to understand the character of God, and how much love he has for sinful and erring mortals, then we cannot help being affected by His grace.
If we are consumed by hatred and bitterness towards our fellow man for not living up to our expectations then are we truly manifesting the fruits of love, joy, and peace of the Holy Spirit?
Gaze and wonder about how much love it took for Jesus to intercede for those driving the nails in His hands and feet: “Father forgive them!”
Repent of your selfishness and self-righteousness and ask God to help you show the same grace towards others that He has revealed to you. Repeat often the prayer Jesus taught His disciples:
“Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us.” (Luke 11:4)
