Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.” Hebrews 3:15, NLT
Honestly, I love talking to people about the word of God. But for some reason, I don’t feel the need to pester people who have yet to give their heart to Christ. This may be the wrong attitude, but I believe that unless someone is open to the Holy Spirit then they will not hear the word of God.
“But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.” 1 Corinthians 2:14, NLT
There is no excuse for anyone to reject the word of God, especially in America where there is a church on almost every street corner; most people already have enough information to make up their minds about what they believe about Jesus. There is simply NO WAY for me to convince someone to give their heart to Christ unless they are convicted by the Holy Spirit.
I think that some people like to strike up conversations with Christians to embarrass or humiliate them by refusing to listen to hard evidence and to promote their own militant agendas. They think it is a contest to see who can get the last word. Well, I have no desire to play games with God’s word. It is not my job to make sure that they get into heaven. I KNOW I am right with God, and I know that one day they will wish they had listened.
