The only verse in the Bible we need to understand salvation is John 3:16
” For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
This one verse is easy to remember and tells us the following:
- God loves us
- He reveals His love in Jesus
- The only condition for eternal life is trusting Jesus
This is essential knowledge. The rest is important but only as it points us to this simple message.
